  • Dark Souls 3 NG+ is odd.
Beasted through Grundyr and Vordt, but still get pwned by regular grunts if you let your guard down.

The strangest bit is remembering it took you hours to get somewhere on NG and you now get there in a few minutes.

Leveling up is pretty non existent now, I need 60k plus to lvl up and after beating Vordt I have 25k haha.

  • Sounds like Witcher 3.

I'd like another game of that scope and involvement.

  • 100% this.

I only have about 8 hours under my belt so far (busy weekend) but I can't see me completing it, if such a thing is possible, in less than 200 hours at this rate.

    It's so. Fucking. Good.

  • Yeah, just won the high stakes gwent tournament at my first go, got a special achievement thing and everything.

  • Is high stakes a quest or is it one of the regional ones, can't remember. Am shit st gwent. Or maybe I just have a crap redanian deck? Or both. From memory after you do the regional beat 3 x opponents quests there's a big tournament in the city somewhere? If there's an achievement involved maybe I'll have to play properly as I'm a sucker for 100%s..

  • It's the big mega tournament, you have to beat all the locals in various places to have a good enough deck and ¥1000 to enter, got one of those Xbone "not many other people have done this" achievements which has a special noise, I'm very proud of myself.

  • The Verge said that it's Nintendo’s Skyrim.

It's now the first ever Nintendo I'm even more compelled to get, even if it just to play Zelda.

  • Only got 4/5 in the Metro. The hype ends here.

  • Just picked up DS3 amd looking forward to being punished and dying loads. I so love DS games and am so crap at them. Never finished one but happy to play four hours grinding through a level knowing it will end in tears. It's taking part that counts.

  • I found 3 to be the easiest, after a similar experience to you with the previous games.
The fact your life bar doesn't drop when you die makes it a bit easier.

  • Yes notice that. And the first boss... I almost beat it first time ... Almost

  • Enjoy it!
I think I spent about 65 hours to complete it and was soul level 100.

  • £SOLD

  • Just give it to me out of the goodness of your heart

  • I'm waiting for the inevitable Nintendo price drop to £99 (wishful thinking...)

  • You might be waiting a while... they doubled launch figures over the Wii U in the UK.

  • Can I do your washing up for a month instead of cash payments? maybe some gardening need doing?

  • A very kind offer!

Unfortunately they've both just sold on eBay for £340 so i can't take you up on it...

  • Zelda must be good, the Economist just wrote about it:
    http://www.economist.com/blogs/prospero/2017/03/legacy-zelda?fsrc=scn/tw/te/bl/ed/

I tried the original over the weekend on the NES Classic Mini - God it's confusing!

I only played on the NES Classic for five minutes then decided it wasn't for me, so I've packed it all up and will return it to Tesco's - unless anyone wants it for cost price (currently £129 on Amazon, lol)?

  • I got myself the NES and SNES games on an emulator as I've never played a Zelda game for more than a few minutes. Working through A Link To The Past at the moment, also have The Phantom Hourglass for DS.

  • Ooh what emulator? Haven't used those for about 15 years when I bought a load of floppies at a game fair when I was a nerdy teenager and had to make things like Donkey Kong and some kind of top down ww2 flight game run. Would like to have a crack at Zelda though before the inevitable happens and I buy a Nintendo for BOTW

  • OpenEmu on Mac and ZSNES on Windows are what I've been using.

OpenEmu is pretty awesome, basically a collection of emulators for old consoles bundled together.

RetroPi is also worth a look for Raspberry Pis.

  • Well beat the tutorial boss and ended up in firelink shrine. It's changed since I last remember it, yet vaguely familiar. Such a great tho forgiving start. DS games are compelling
