Okay, I'll bite, why?
9 speed is one of those groupset that's neither here nor there.
it doesn't have the longivity of an 8 speed groupset, and the modern 10 speed stuff is pretty tough to the point that the difference with 9 speed is miminal, plus range of gear is better on 10 speed.
Also the shift felt a little softer, compare to the like of Tiagra, 105 etc. it will still work great, but you may not enjoyed the feel compared to Tiagra.
If you haven't already order it, go for the 4700, replacing a 10 speed chain nowadays is pretty cheap enough to warrant this.
