I'm now fully convinced that the Brompton is the 21st Century alternative to the dutch bike.
I never really liked riding it (especially compare to a lovely road bike), but it's so practical, I don't think about, or wear the necessary clothes.
It make more sense nowadays with such little space for a proper dutch bike, the government's dismayed attitude toward cycling and not being able to locked up anywhere without it getting stolen.
