We've had good luck with Philips LEDs, even better with Panasonic - do they still make them?
-

Oh that's weird. We have B&Q cheapos in our kitchen which are fine but they're the spotlight type (GU10?).

I've got loads of LED lights in my kitchen and haven't had any problem with the strobe effect thing.
Just started to replace the GU10s in the bathroom with LED as well.
I was skeptical at first but the current warm white LED bulbs are fine IMO.

Is this fucked? DT/BB shell on an old Peugeot 531 frame I picked up cheap for my partner's brother.
If not, what should I treat it with?
@Rik_van_looy I know you've done some great things with rusty bits...

Best option for running a campy wheel with shimano group. Finding at shimano free body may be harder then I originally thought (for a set of 2003ish Corima Winiums). Had a quick search and read mentions of conversion cassettes and shiftmates. Anyone have any experience? This would be a temporary fix until I find the freehub I need.

suggestions on how to stop a saddle creaking?
My Fabric scoop has developed an annoying creak where the rails join the base.
Really fucking annoying as it's only 12 months old, and so damn comfortable -

Some form of lubricant. I've used 3-in-1 in the past, but I'm sure someone will tell me that's bad.

I read that, but it still doesn't answer my question.

These wheels would take campy 11 speed cassette?
-
• #82292
As I understand it, the theory was that an 11 speed cassette would fit on a 10 speed freehub body, but in practice some will, whilst others won't. I've no experience of Corima wheels/freehubs though.

An 11 speed Campag cassette should fit, which would then be compatible with 11spd Shimano
-

This is the opposite way that most conversion cassettes work ( as shimano spline wheels are much more common). Either run an 11 s group with a campag cassette (spacing is the same) or ask corima if they have a shimano freehub to sell you.

Can anyone recommend a IPad mini case/cover/stand? I'm happy to get an all in one or a seperate stand and cover. Cheers

Is this just as a hack? I'd sandpaper/wire brush it back and then - assuming no cracks or holes have revealed themselves - slap some hammerite or the like on.

I'm running 10 speed shimano...

Headphones with active sound cancellation, like the Bose ones. Do they still cancel sound when not playing music? Or do you have to pass a sound track through them for the sound cancellation to activate? I need silence.
-
• #82299
The Bose ones have noise cancellation even if no music's being played.
You don't get silence, but you do get a noticeble reduction

Hmmm, as a chartered mechanical engineer I can't really give you a diagnosis from a photo, but as a lover/rider of rusty ratty bikes I'd say that doesn't look too bad....
Broadly speaking, cheap steel frames were over-engineered, so sand back the rust till you reach proper shiny metal - if there's any areas that look scary, poke them with a sharp object... if it goes through you've got problems, and if there's no give you should be fine.
Paint or clear-coat to stop further rusting and then periodically check it to ensure there are no cracks forming - you'll slowly build confidence in the strength of the frame and stop worrying about it all together!
No Dimmer, and I used cheaper ones, I'm guessing Philips make nicer products.
