Impressive ride by Kwiatkowski. With 30 kms to go you could see he was strong but I thought he was showing his hand too early, but he timed his solo move to perfection.

Agree, on the other hand he is much lighter than everybody else in the final so he was never going to loose time on the final climb.

Any chance you can interest him in a nice bottle of Austrian wine, say 1985 vintage?

Kwia's got a very consistent palmares from a junior level, I don't think that performance should raise any eyebrows. It won't stop the eyebrows being raised.

To be fair, it was probably pish to begin with. But in 1985 a group of Austrian wine makers used Diethylne Glycol, best known as the main ingredient of anti-freeze, to pad out their yield.
