Getting a tattoo from scott was like nothing else. Hardly any pressure and really quick. I'm sure stomach sucked still, looks rad though ioreka!

He is very quick, last 40 mins of shading on my hip were torturous though where he thought he'd finished then kept deciding he hadn't.

Got my elbow done by Will Geary at Parliament two weeks ago, great dude, "countryside prices".
Tried Bepanthen and clingfilm for just 24 hours this time (usually do 3 days) then just a bit of natural moisturiser, seems to be healing way nicer and quicker.

Echo this. Last one I had I used bepanthen for the first day and then switched to palmers cocoa butter (unscented) which has worked well. Definitely a lot nicer cream to use and would recommend it.

That's pretty long, most of the tattooist recommend to me around 5-6 hours.

I used to cream then cling for a couple of days (when at work/ out and about, let it free when im sitting about at home, wrap it for bed)
Never did me no harm.
Different tact with my knee and let it out for the most part and that is also fine (spent 2 days with my leg up eating biscuits) -

I always cling film it if it's going under clothes for the first week. I'd rather it sweat a bit than get rubbed dry.

Knee is finished. Fuck that hurt.
1st session was outline only and wasn't too bad (not great but 'bearable' haha pun because it's a bear)
Coloured in now and it was agony. Now to ride home (powered not pedal) -

Gulp, got my appointment for my knees next month. Half day Friday then sit at home all weekend looking after them Aha
As for caring for my previous Tattoos Iv just used Bapanthen for the first day or two. Using cling film if I'm having bed sheets or clothing over them. If I was at woke I'd change cling film every 3 hours and apple more cream if needed. If I'm at home id just let it air out and put cream on every so often if it felt dry. Cling them up for bed.
Never scabbed on any of my Tattoos and all healed really quickly. -

Got a nice gap filler from my pal Spence last night. Excuse Instagram screenshot, I didn't think to get a photo of my own and now my forearm is swollen and gross looking.

I do not understand why people waste time with this. All this fiddely after care stuff is just to sell creme and make realistic tattoos look better for the first 6months. After a year you cant tell the difference from a dry healed tattoo. Too much after care is often worse than too little. Wrap for a few hours if you cant get home to shower. Tegederm for the first 24-48hrs if the artist has it. Wash with water as hot as you can stand to get the puss ink out of pores. Use clean sheets, wear clean clothes and a thin layer of cream once a day when it starts to get dry and itchy. Other that that ignore it.

About to pull the trigger on my first one. Anything to consider on the basis I'm doing a lot of racing (road and TT's) this month? Assuming maybe just not within 48 hours of an event should be fine.
I didn't think Scott was that bad! Still need to get shading on the back of my knee though so we'll see how I feel after that.
