Really not a fan of planet x but been waiting for these weenie parts to go on sale. Lowest I saw the clamp was £8 before.

I got the skewers the last time they were on sale. Look nice, kinda work. Not much use for out of the saddle though.

Yep, they are on the bike I use for crits.

Don't have them but I've heard they just don't provide as much clamp force as some beefier QRs so are prone to slipping. Think that's what he meant

Once you realise how utterly awful open cams are at doing the job they're meant to do, they stop looking cool.

But if they work, they work? I've been riding a set of those stick skewers around for 4 years. What am I at risk of?

I'm using titanium ones similar without the carbon bit and they've been perfect. @hp93 has the PX carbon ones and never had an issue

Yeah I know they're not as good as a closed-cam QR, but for what I use them for (mainly TT'ing) they perform fine. You won't see me using a pair for a hillclimb event for example because of my Epic Watts.

Can I add my voice here? What will a "bad" QR do? Fall out of the dropouts?

I've had one slip enough that the tyre rubs the chainstays. Not the ones in question though.

Cheap flat pedals / grips/ chainring bolts on Triton at the moment. £1.99 cheap that is.
