• no, a longer rake will slow down the steering. If you take it to an extreme and have something that looked like a chopper then the steering becomes like pushing a wheel barrow where leaning does more than turning the bars. Likewise at the other extreme, if you have no rake at all just a straight line up from the wheel to the bars then it will turn on the stop, but if you try and go at speed it will be incredibly twitchy.
