Sorry if this has been mentioned previously, and I don't want to clog up the thread, but would anybody recommend places to train in the Barista arts and education in coffee? I'm in full-time (office-based) employment, but looking to break free and change careers.
I've seen Prufrock offer courses, as do London School of Coffee. Seems the cost does add up, if you want to cover all areas from Barista skills, latte art, cupping etc. Would official SCAE be worth it?
The other option is to get a part-time job in a coffeeshop, and get paid while I learn. Ideally somewhere with an excellent reputation for their coffee, and training.

Any constructive advice more than welcome.
