Idk wft is up with apple ID passwords. I seem to need to change mine every other month for one reason or another and it royally fucks loads of things up. My MBP is only a couple of months old and forever requiring keychain paswords from three Apple ID passwords ago and when i tried to change the passwords back after the latest post-software update change it wouldn't let me have the computer and apple passwords be the same... I went through a few years of getting so annoyed with it, every apple password I had would be a variant of "fuckoffapple123" or "applesucks99" but I actually ran out of memorable insults and am now back to whatever I hope I can remember having been forced to change it yet again. pain. in. the. arse.

Our approach to apple passwords seems remarkably similar! I wonder how many stolen apple products could be unlocked using variants on the theme?

iPhone 7+ - any users? My 6 has been taking a beating for too long and is in need of a replacement (screen pops off some times and I have to pop it back on. Screen shattered. Camera doesn't work. Battery troubles - switches off at 70% and needs to be charged in a wall to turn back on etc.
Looking at 7+ for the double camera thing or maybe a Google Pixel XL but having never used an android device in my life I'm struggling with that option, even if they do have a cool advert.

Love mine. The camera is excellent, battery life is excellent etc.
If you're coming from a non + model, it is pretty large but i love mine.

Very happy with the regular 7.

I'd make sure to buy from Amazon. You get a good price, shipped to your house and a good returns policy - super important if you get a monitor with dead pixels.

Tho' sometimes even that isn't a guarantee... Not Amazon but... I bought a Titanium PowerBook BITD, the thing arrived from Apple with two dead pixels... I told Apple I wanted a new one and was told that two dead pixels was within tolerance and I'd have to put up with it... Of course I told them to fuck off and kicked up a massive stink with the CEO's office so they relented after a few days... But still... Cunts...

The tiMBP was awesome. Loved mine. I had one with a glued hinge that barely held up so it had extra bladerunner-esque badassness.

After a year of heavy use mine were more scratched than this
tbh I miss the signs of wear. Same with the first iphone, that wore down really nicely as well.

I hope the dark gray anodizing will wear off nice on the new MBPs too.

Speaking at Apple’s shareholder meeting in Cupertino on Tuesday morning, Cook is quoted as delivering some more detailed promises. He said: “You will see us do more in the pro area. The pro area is very important to us. The creative area is very important to us in particular. Don’t think that [because] something we’ve done or something we’re doing that isn’t visible yet is a signal that our priorities are elsewhere. It’s very, very important to us.”
Sounds like a Mac Pro might still be on the cards.

You sure that wasn't a Trump quote? Sounds suitably vague.

Converting a WMV video with audio to something Quicktime can play?
Best way to do it? VLC seems to have a bug with its transcoding feature where the audio track will not play once in quicktime.

Has anyone ever had issues with an iPhone connecting to their cellular network? My 5s has been searching for a network connection since yesterday afternoon. There are no reported outages from my network (Three) locally, I've rebooted the phone, removed the sim and reinstalled it, cleared the network settings yet still it won't connect and just has "Searching..." displayed all the time. I've not been able to leave the house yet to see if it'll connect elsewhere.
Any other ideas I can try?

no worries, also a great dock icon!
My iCloud password/Apple ID is being weird.
I've changed the password, but when I try to use messenger or the App Store I get a box saying "An email has been sent to....Follow the directions in the email to reset your password", and a blue OK button.
I've followed the directions, but the blue button won't do anything, and messenger etc won't work.
Every time I try anything, I get sent back to the same prompt to reset my password, which I have now done at least ten times, but the blue OK button remains stubbornly unclickable.
