  • On this note - how did you find space got allocated on your 32gb device?

Am looking at the XL (or the iPhone 7+) and wondering whether 32GB would be enough. Most of the space being used on my current 64GB iPhone 6 is music and I'd get rid of that anyway as I use Spotify now. Only thing I can think is image storage and email downloads :/ And how are you finding the regular sized Pixel? Is the only thing that's different the size of the screen and battery life?

  • I never really had any music on it so any space was taken up with images or apps. I never used more than 10gb at any time including the OS.
The regular size pixel is good, the screen is a good amount larger than the iphone 6 but the size of the overall phone isn't much more. I read bad things about the battery life but it's slightly better than my iphone was. If I don't really use it much it will lose 20 - 25% through a day. If I'm on Instagram a lot then it may down down to 40%ish but I've never run it lower than that.
The screen has taken a little getting used to as it picks up touches slightly differently.
The camera is bloody brilliant, really sharp and manages to get a decent depth of field somehow. The image stabalisation works well too, I've taken really sharp images of moving things while cycling. I was looking at getting the iphone 7 plus almost solely for the dual camera but I can't actually see it being any better.

Samesies. Though I know a few Pixel (regular size) users who think the camera is the best thing in the world. I also use AirDrop a lot for work. I also have 7 years of iPhone app purchases and there are some apps I use that aren't available on Android :/

How are you finding build quality of the device? That's always put me off about Android devices - my (probably incorrect) perception that they're generally plasticky and flimsy compared to metal and glass iJobs. That and bloatware/bullshit Android repackaging. But this is where Pixel appeals.
