  • It lost about 50km out of 160km-ish of the ride. Which is weird as some of the time it crashed it had created a .fit file. But not all of it. I should painstakingly troubleshoot exactly what causes the crashes, but instead I'm just going to put it on ebay and get a Wahoo instead.
    For the moment I can probably live without the exact statistical breakdown of how bad I am at climbing.

    I generally restart the recording every 100km (on a touring)

  • Yes, I've previously done that with my old Garmin for anything over 100. But having 'upgraded' to an 810, I wasn't anticipating it would have already crashed twice before 100. By which point I decided I didn't really care about the data much.

    Mad Jacks was a route that looped 3 times through the same control, so wasn't great for following via GPS.
