The tube on the adapter is a smaller diameter than a normal tyre valve, so the pump head doesn't stay on. Just slips off once the pressure goes up. I'm currently resorting to using a cable tie to hold it on, then cut it off afterwards. Not ideal.
wierd, I have had 5 or 6 of these little "crackpipe" adapters over the years and never had that happen before
