A note from Islington Council is below. I'm in talks with them to see what can be done. I've started by asking if we can have the lights on till 9pm on Tues and Thurs.

"Unfortunately I need to advise you that the council are currently under obligation to ensure that the lights serving the new ball court are switched off at 8pm. This is a Planning Condition added by the Planning Committee when the overall project was being considered – despite our application setting out our intention to operate the same arrangements that existed at that time.

We are currently awaiting guidance from Planning about the process for challenging this condition, but obviously there are some potential political hurdles to overcome as well. Myself or Dave will keep you updated as this progresses, but we have no option in the short-term but to adhere to the rules of the planning approval."

Our contacts at the Council are still discussing "how to best approach the Planning constraints." They are keeping in touch so that is good. Fingers crossed.
