Kodi and the various addons are worth looking at for media.
I think there are addons for Amazon prime, Dropbox and a few others.
Get a HD home run or similar for freeview and pvr. -

It's a fair concern I guess. What do you want to do with this machine again?

Just re read your posts. If you want a mini PC with no fans and an add that will play movies and browse the internet etc perfectly then this is what they do. I'm not sure that they would be ok with Trainerroad, comoutrainer etc etc. If you need any gpu performance at all forget about the pocket.

The machine it would be replacing is my old desktop so in theory could do anything.
In practice, I killed VB's posh video card and replaced it with a piece of shit that doesn't run for more than 10min without bluescreen (yes, I've tried to fix this) so now runs stock VGA drivers.
Mostly it plays mp3s, video files, browses the 'net, burns the odd CD though that's becoming less and less frequent since my CDJs sit idle most of the time.

How is Intel's onboard GPU for Zwift's 3D? Traininerroad doesn't have any 3D I don't think. Computrainer software does 3D.

Zwift say the Intel HD 4000 and AMD R meet minimum spec.
See also this Zwift forum thread:
one user says he has the Intel i5-6500 Skylake with HD 530 graphics, works in High Quality mode, doesn't say what FPS he achieves. -

My little 11'' macbook air with integrated 'Intel HD' graphics runs it without issue. It crashed a couple of times a while ago but I think they've patched it.

The cheaper i3 NUC has "Intel HD Graphics 520"
This seems to suggest 520 beats 4000:

Sorry bit distracted by other stuff.
So for simpletons like me:
They're good, can deal with iTunes, Eurosport, Amazon, kodi.
Probably not so hot for zwift could probably run trainer road.If i wanted more grunt the i3 nuc or the other job spotter talked about.

Bit of a long shot, but has anyone got an old Lenovo X220 or something similar to sell? I want to have a go at running Ubuntu (or other Linux distro) on something indestructible/upgradeable.
-
• #3647
I picked up an X220 from here before Xmas

• #3648
Why not just run it in virtualbox? You don't need hardware to play...

I'm thinking about this a lot. I like osmc. I respect what Sam has done.

IGNORE
Stem shipping comes in at a whopping £10
Also on sale from Steam direct, with better saving if buying both together- 43.98 vs 39.58
I'm just worried that I'll go for the cheaper option then be annoyed it does shit slower than my current machine.
