I think new rules came in last year. Seem to remember that they can only go in check-in luggage inside equipment (i.e. not as spares). For cabin baggage there's a limit on the power and the terminals need to be taped or in original packaging or similar to avoid short circuits.
Probably check with the airline.
Transatlantic flight tomorrow. I am planning to pack two batteries for my DeWalt drill. Li-Ion.
(The drill has already been sent with some other cargo).
Will it work out OK? Should I put it in hand luggage or check-in luggage?
