I'd have a think about exactly where you're going to be riding it most though
Mostly tarmac, but I do like the Thames river path and that's more rocky and muddy in places rather than something like the dry gravel of the South Downs Way.
I'm willing to give up a little of the road performance to make it a more durable all-rounder... at least enough to not fear adventurous detours.

This is going to be good.
For tyres, tubeless is awesome. I'd have a think about exactly where you're going to be riding it most though, if it's tarmac then I'd get something slick like the Schwalbe Pro One or IRC Formula Pro.
