  • I don't know if it's any help but I resize my images to 900px before uploading to imgbox.com. After uploading I click on "full size image" then copy the link.

  • Whats the deal with Nikon SP .. is it zone focus only?

  • It's a rangefinder, isn't it?

  • ^ yep, it's a rangefinder.

  • So you're focussing with a rangefinder-patch, right?

  • Oui. Pretty sure it had different colour framelines inbuilt as well.

  • From the Makina? Can we see?

  • Going on holiday in a few weeks, looking for something new to shoot with to replace my deceased mju ii. Either looking for a high end compact or something medium format would also be nice.

  • A Rolleicord is nice and light if you want to shoot MF.

  • any source for this? I am struggling to find anything like that on interweb

  • Pic of the rangefinder, and a bit of the manual.

  • The SP is the one the collectors er ... collect so are silly money. Much of the mechanicals are shared with the Nikon F which is nice. The S2 is a good option as a user. A Leica M is an even better option as a user IMHO.

    Cool story :-]

Srsly though, I guess a Fujifilm GA645 is all of those things.

  • What do they go for? Do they shoot well with 50mm 1.4?

I have found one for (relative) peanuts in the most unlikely of places :)

    Thank you @Poetic

  • Yeah the S2 just has lines for a 50mm, but that means a lovely clear finder. I think bodies go for about £400ish, maybe a bit less.

I think the f2 and 1.4 are the og lenses, both work perfectly. You can use Ukrainian lenses too which isn't as crazy as it sounds. The Helios 103 is amazing and Jupiter 12 (a 35mm so could isn't gonna have framelines) is good.

The 50s Nikon lenses and cameras seem to 'survive' really well.

Ah ok in that case I may have to pass .. the one I found is mint-ish with 50mm 1.4 and the seller is asking £750

  • SP or S2 for £750?

  • That's SP money.

  • That's not bad for an SP in Mint condition with lens. The S2's are cheaper.

  • Might take a punt, expose a few rolls and sell it .. if I don't it will rot in a cupboard. And I think there is room for negotiation.

  • S2 with a 50 1.4 are around £550 I think.

They made far more of them.

  • it will rot in a cupboard.

    Most are shelf queens.

  • Do it.

  • ^ yep. Like to see some pics of it as well.
