I've got those fake Lightweight cages, they're alright (although I just snapped one of them after a year or so).
-
• #130
YMMV, I've got them on two bikes, never lost a bottle and never broke one.
-
• #131
Yeah mine were fine until the other day when I put a bottle in whilst riding, heard a crunch and realised when I got home that one of the skinny bits had snapped off.
Ordered another two off aliexpress already as they've never ejected a bidon, even when broken.

Or you can always get the real deal and get it replaced under warranty.
Arrundel carbon are lovely stuff.

• #133
Who on ebay did you buy them from? Would be nice to get a bit of a review when they arrive.

eTap is hilarious fun.
Steel bikes+ silly paintjobs+ eTap for summer '17 (and beyond). -

Right - with all the serious purchasing out of the way, it's on to the kind of pointless group think confirmation bias and minor squabbling that LFGSS does best.
1) Bartape
2) Bottle Cages
3) Brake Cable Outer1 - I usually go for Fizik microtex soft touch, but have recently been swayed by Lizardskins on my cross bike. Do they still make a super thin racy version? I like the top shape of my bars for climbing and don't want to make it much chunkier...
2 - I like the look of the Arundels, maybe even in SS, but Elite cages are £6.99 on wiggle which is hard to fuck with.
3 - Yokozuna might match the steel... Dura Ace is low key and exceptional... I've never used metal housing like Nokon or i-links but I hear it squeaks? -

try the new Fizik tacky stuff, it's pretty thin and really grippy.

These are commonly available from other brands:

Wiggle Professional for brake cables.

I have the Lifeline branded version of this. Nice and minimalist, and holds a bottle very pleasingly firm and snug.

These are quite nice, not too pricey, and hold bottles properly.

Exactly the same as all the other, Lifeline et al, that people have been recommending. Got some Elites coming in, cheap and cheerful, for the time being.

50/50 paint/metal like the team paint job you have but done to your own tastes can work! (IMHO)
This is the latest 931 frame, but basically exactly the same as yours visually... Painted to fit in with the Podia 2017 S/S collection, but also sticking to the 2017 branding guidelines requested by Genesis.I guess you'd call it factory custom...

I love that!

I just saw this on bikerumours and my initial reaction was WTF, when did they copy @hoops design?
Anyways I definitely think @MechaMorgan one will be better (purely because it has been designed by LFGSS members...)

That paint job is amazing. Not to my taste, but technically incredible. I'm really in to the idea of having a half-raw frame, or using the colour of the steel in the paint job. IMO Stinner are doing this incredibly well at the moment.
