it is what mr pink was till last year, I think mid reach is where its at for the NonFat®

If Shimano made a direct mount mid reach caliper on the cheap I'll be commissioning another frame LOL

nah dont go 1x .. 1x has a purpose which is simplicity and low maintenance at a price of heavier cassette and gappy gears both of which shouldnt be on a road bike. Do it on a winter/commuter bike.
