  • yeah this is a tweaked position from original my bike fit. Obviously i have slightly weird proportions so take that with a pinch of salt.

    I can ride both a 54cm and a 56cm but prefer the way a 54cm with a 130 stem rides compared to a 56cm with a 110 stem.

  • that is a tiny weeny weeny dent. its a great price

  • Teeny weeny dent+my epic power made a CAAD7 frame fail

  • CAAD frames are pushed to max with alu, I wouldnt even want a one mm dent and I cant even produce watts!

  • Perfect. Similar scenario here right now. Do you notice much difference between them, ride-wise?

Yes and no. The wheel and tyre choice make the most difference. The Supersix certainly feels faster and you don't notice the bumps as much as you do on the CAAD10. They are set up almost identically.

  • Luck of the dice I reckon. I rode a dented CAAD7 for ages - it was fine, and I sold it on.

  • depends on the location most likely

  • Yea. I was going to say that but then I'd need a funky gif to back it up. I remember dammit's being a death dent that was near the top tube / seat tube junction.

Mine was mid way along the top tube and about the size of a 1p coin, but very shallow.

The dent on the down tube of that C10 is tiny and in a place of low stress.

That said, cheap frame for crits. Yes. Ride it over the alps? no thanks. no idea how the previous has treated it.

  • 186cm (maybe a tad more i think) on a 58, my next one might be a 56 though

  • This was my 54, I've since slammed the stem down and dropped the saddle ~2cm. Can get a new photo you measure bb to saddle rails for you if you like

  • My dent was small but deep, and in an area that got a lot of twist - cracks radiated from either end and started to encircle the tube. Which was a real shame as I loved the way that bike rode.

  • Join the club, I have my Supersix Evo for sale:

  • That ring looks awesome. Nice looking bike. Wish I'd kept it and gone 11 speed now!

  • What is the paint job on the 2017 caad12 non disc frame going to be? Out in April apparently?
    @edscoble ?

  • Got this an hour ago. Threw some bits on, just need a mech hanger and an extra long bolt for front brake and it's sorted. 7.1kg without chain.

That narrow stem looks weird but I've no funds for a monster one.

Also, I now have a 56cm caad10 frameset for sale (assuming this one doesn't fall to pieces the first time I ride it).

  • May swap bars out as well.

  • the dreaded front bolt (looks great though!)

  • I reckon it needs to be about 40mm. Just off to the lbs to see what they have...

Also has this dent to the seat stay. Seller assures me it's fine, but is it...?

  • There's no evidence of it on the other side or bending or anything, just looks it's had a tiny impact. I can't work out how he's done it.
