  • Well isn't that just dandy.
The question is: can a high end brand like Rapha keep their position in the market if they sell bibs at 150gbp that falls a part?

  • repair service?

  • As long as it's not all the bibs falling apart...

  • Did you buy them direct?

  • I bought them in the Rapha sale. Send them an email today with photos. Awaiting reply.
Just felt like coming in here and moan a bit about it :)

  • Repair service is exactly why I have started buying Rapha. But I'd rather have a pair of bibs that just doesn't need repairing. In comparison I have a pair of assos I bought back in 2013. They are so worn and transparent now that my gf refuses to let me cycle in them, yet they are still intact and pillow is still super comfortable.

  • my Santini climber bib tights have lasted donkeys, washed many MANY times - didnt cost me a 2nd mortgage like Rapha either.
When your entire business model is based around Quality for the high premium price, you HAVE to and i mean HAVE to have 100% QC- once your customers lose any kind of faith (and face!) in your product your done.

  • Yeah.
I haven't paid full price for anything Rapha yet. Probably never will now..

  • You'll get a refund or a replacement, non? Why so stressy?

  • Yeah, you're right. It is just that I was really enjoying them and now I will have to do without them for two weeks and the hassle of sending them back etc.

  • I was really enjoying them and now I will have to do without them for two weeks

Tell 'em that, might make them move quicker. Hope they put it right sharpish.

  • They can issue my damn sample sale refund first, damn them!

  • btw is there ever outlet / discount section in the london store or are those things always in the kilbert court (or something cant remember the name)

  • Any Tricolour jerseys in Kilver Court?

    TIA

  • I believe that they sold out over the weekend but give them a call tomorrow. If there are any left they can hold them for two days.

  • Thanks for your email and sorry to hear about your bib shorts.

From the photos you have provided it is clear that this is a
manufacturing fault with the pair you have received.

Unfortunately the black ones are no longer in stock, but we could swap
them instead for a new pair in Black/White or alternatively issue a
    full refund.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed and we would be happy
    to resolve this for you.

Has anybody had the white ones? Do they get dirty super fast? A refund is stupid as it was an on-sale purchase and I wont find anything at same price level that comfortable...

  • isnt there a roadie rule about white bib shorts - i.e. if your not a pro then its a no no

  • Is it not just the white band? It will be fine.

  • They are not white sorry. Black but white band on leg

  • They look good. Doit.

I get what you mean about the 'refund only because now out of stock' problem - that's super annoying, but one of the risks with sales stuff unfortunately. You can always ask for a cheeky reduction on this years' stuff instead, they might agree to keep you riding in their stuff.

  • You want the yellow ones. They go well with everything.

  • :) they go with nothing buddy.

    @Howard ta. You are right.

  • what's the point of offering a swap for another pair of lightweights if they will also suffer from the same problem too?

  • I'll ask Rapha :-)
