Just done my first 20 miler, felt awful for the first few miles and considered going back to bed but thankfully was with 2 mates, then as things loosened up felt fine, we've upped the pace a little as we are soling to stay under 75% max hr and as we've all got fitter that's about 15 seconds faster per km, really needed the loo from 18 miles onwards but did the last 1.5 miles at marathon pace (apart from falling over with about 300m to go as I tried to do a dead turn and couldn't react when I slid on pile of gravel - I think I'm channelling @hats ;)) so pretty pleased, I have another three 20 milers so will gradually increase the amount of marathon pace I do!
