what crankset are you upgrading to? S-works? C'dale? (I don't know what your bike looks like)
-

I'll give shimano a go first, if they fail then hope will be my next stop.

• #112729
Dang! That's some bling!!

I have a ordinary all-city NBD, I wanted to get the rotors cx1, but it looks like it only works on BB30, so I'm most likely going to get sram cx1 GXP (170,42t)

30mm rotor axles/cranksets fit BSA frames like your NBD, they just need Rotor BSA30 cups
I can really recommend going for "BSA 30", especially on steel frames that lack a bit of rigidity, really transformed my AWOL

Bollocks! There was a good deal on eBay a while back. Oh well sram should be good enough tbh.

Well there's a rarely heard phrase from HoKe.

That Kuwahara is an absolute winner!
4x butted Ishiwata tubing right? -
• #112737
It is! The ride is so... plush. Can't say I've tried better.

What hack is that on the Kuwahara? Bikes looks great!

That's a kona Cinder cone from 1990. I also don't like the idea of the tensioner . And have all the parts to make it 1x9. So probably it will joint this 1x trend.

If by hack, you mean... rack, it's from Steco. I believe the model it's called "Smooth". Nothing special, really, but gets the job done.
Here's another (shitty) picture.

Finally sorting out the fit on this. Was originally meant to be SSCX but most of my riding is commuting, so gears and slicks work for now. Eventually I'd like full CX1 and a 650b knobbly wheelset but the Harry Hall project will probably come first

Got some new wheels (well a month ago) which make it ride loads better than the old shimanis I had on. They do need destickering though!
The steere tube has been cut and I have ordered a chinese carbon seatpost to hopefully make it a bit nicer on my bottom.
Overall I am happy with this, it rides bloody lovely.

Nice. I'm tempted by the steel version but the bike fund is far too low.
You want these carbon ones, @HoKe . Accept nothing less
