I had a Wii U as well and found that, apart from Mario Kart, nothing really got played more than once or twice so it languished in a box for a year after we moved house before i eventually sold it.
I'm hoping with the Switch that the portability will mean i play it more. Being able to take on a train / plane gives it a major edge over my massive gaming pc for obvs reasons.
I'm still really looking forward to getting mine in a little under two weeks. I just hope Zelda lives up to the hype.

So long as it were a launch title you could probably buy it, play it and sell it in a tight enough timeframe to turn a profit if the console sells out as per wii.
Did the same with PlayStation VR, unit didn't sell out at launch but Christmas demand was above and beyond.
