  • yeah i'm having problems too - pm'ed

  • Right three pairs of jeans that I've just pulled out of a box which hasn't been opened for a year.

Prim I Am jeans - bought from Oki-ni a few years ago minimal wear, soft dark denim. 34x34 £30

All Saints taper jeans - present from an aunt who heard I liked Japanese denim. The denim itself is nice and crisp but the cut is quite a taper from the knees. 32x32 £20

Edwin ED71 - I really like these jeans and have another pair but I bought these in 32 waist and they don't fit by Gregory Bauge like thighs! Waist fits like 34 and I had them shortened to 32 leg. Minimal wear and a bloody nice cut. £40

Having issues with uploading photos but feel free to pm

  • Curious about the smallest of the lot...

  • Interested in natural selection. Please give me a shout when photos sorted

  • @Tenderloin Interested in the Prim I Am jeans - what cut are they?
If they are the "storm" ones they sound like what I want (slight taper from knee)

  • That sounds like them - I'll see if it says what model on the label.

  • Probably not the right thread but denim people might know:

Where can I get dungarees? As in too-rye-ay era Dexy's style?

    For my daughter, btw...

  • Search for Osh Kosh (B'gosh), pricey but worth it...

Loads of kids stuff, their old workwear stuff is very much sought after by collector types...

  • Thanks - she's 5'8" so I'm not sure Osh Kosh will fit.

Afaicr their stuff was for littler kids? (Should have said that she is growing up size!)

  • You could get adult sized OK stuff again years ago, I've still got a lovely 50s pump attendant's jacket... If you can be arsed it might be worth searching for them...

I'd recommend a trip to @JD's vintage emporium in Camden and grab a pair of OK or Lee dungarees... Late 70s soulboy classics...

  • ok, as promised - anything interesting? will email pics and actual measurements if so

  • I've got 2 pairs of non selvedge denim, both Edwin.

    One pair grey - relaxed taper. 30 x 32.
One pair blue - will find details but probs 30 x 32

I'm sick of having them loose around my waist and clinging like fuck to my legs.

    40 quid the pair?
Pics in a minute when I get out of this meeting.

  • Anyone interested in a pair of hardly worn Albam regular fit, 32" waist and unchanged length so 34"?

  • i am potentially, but how regular is the albam? let me look it up...

  • Plenty of room below the waist. I'm too skinny for them, it just looks silly. I'd imagine them to be perfect for anyone with normal / pwrrr thighs

  • Interested in swapping for some Natural Selection jeans? They're 31/34 I think and too skinny for my pwrr thighs. I'd imagine them to be perfect for anyone with the thighs of a 5yr old girl (/a bit less fat than me)

  • Possibly! Got a pic / link?

  • Regular is pretty standard fit. The newer ones are good jeans, the old ones awesome. Depending on when @kboy got them.

If you're a 32-30 waist in NS they should fit you

  • I've UTFS and used the fucking google too so I've done a bit of reading and now I'm after some real-world advice please.

Should I be doing anything different/special with black selvedge jeans?

    Safe in advance.

  • Nope - I'd treat them the same as any dark and crispy denim

  • Nice one, thank you!

  • Recommendations for a decent quality repair service? Have realised that I've blown a hole in the crotch of some Tellason jeans and they've got plenty of life left everywhere else. Bonus points if can avoid the postal service

  • Son of a Stag do repairs i think

  • Denim doctor is good if you're in Manchester.

  • If you are in London, then definitely Atelier & Repairs in Great Titchfield Street.

Superior to Son of a Stag in my experience. Also recommended by the Rivet & Hide shop.
