I have one which sits alongside my Croix de fer. I'm running both on the same tyres and although they are similar ish bikes they ride completely differently.
The BMC is way lighter and feels much punchier to ride. It's also smoother than the croix despite being aluminium.
Clearances are limited though and you'd probably need to drop to 32,s if you wanted to run guards.
Croix de fer has much larger clearances which may be better if you want to do more off road. It's a big comfy cruiser with a charm entirely of its own.
