1994 Raleigh M Trax Ti1000

  • Evening all,

Up for sale is my Raleigh M Trax Ti1000. This was originally advertised on Retrobike however have had little interest. I dropped the price down to £110 but as it now has the big apple tyres and rack I think £140 is fair.

The seat tube measures 18in from BB to top of seat tube.

She's in very good condition, though does have one or two scuffs and scratches. This was the model which was equipped with Shimano Alivio throughout, much of which has survived the test of time. When researching the chainset a few years ago I discovered that it had been recalled so managed to obtain a new Alivio chainset free of charge.

The bike is currently running a 1x7 setup however the other two chain rings and the shifter is included in the sale so can be converted back to 3x7. The cassette is as new and she wears a natty pair of big apple 2.35s along with a tatty red flite saddle. Please note no pedals are included.

I think thats about it really, she rides great and I'll be sorry to see her go but I have too many bikes and a smaller shed than I had previously.

I'm based in Cardiff but happy to arrange postage.

    Thanks

    Ed

  • Struggling to post the second image.

  • Price drop bump to £135.

  • From someone is knows very little about mountain bikes, roughly what would the size of this equate to in road bike terms?

  • I'm just over 6ft and tend to ride road bikes with a 56cm or 57cm top tube. For more modern mtbs I would gravitate toward a 19in however for older mtbs with longer top tubes and typically longer stems a 18in frame suits me.

  • Price drop bump to £130. Consider trade for large pompino frame / cx stuff.

  • Sunday price drop bump to £125.

  • Price drop bump to £120. Possible part ex items: 26mm compact drop bars, 110mm quill stem (like salsa, pro chrome etc), 27.2 inline seatpost.

  • I'm 5'10" - do you think the bike will fit me?

  • At a guess I would think so. A shorter stem would reduce the reach significantly.

  • Hello mate - I think for now I regrettably have to pass. I just dug myself into a hole with another project bike and I think I have to persevere with it. If I have a change of heart next week you might hear from me. Good luck with the clear out!

  • No problem, thanks for letting me know.

Saturday night price drop bump to £115.

  • Sold.

  • Ahhh I do most of my riding on a (currently single speed) Ti 1000, awesome bike.
