Ditto. Just canned today's 25k after an easy 5k warmup with the GF. The ankle has felt stiff for a couple of weeks but hasn't deteriorated so I kept going but I half rolled it running off trail across the top of the moors on Friday. A vigorous ceilidh last night probably didn't help either. Today it started twinging uncomfortably so figured it is better to rest.
Hmmm... no running since Sunday but I tried a gentle 10k today. The ankle was definitely better than it was on Sunday, I still felt some light twinges but nothing too bad although it's noticably stiff now. I was hoping to do a 40k recce of the SDW course on Sunday while I'm in the area anyway but I'm unsure now. Should I:
a) Go with the original plan and try a long run on the South Downs?
b) Come home on Sunday and do a mid-lenght run on local paths with easy options to cut the run short if necessary?
c) Play things double safe and have another full week off?
