  • Had my Yamaguchi TT up for sale as was hoping to reduce the amount of bikes i currently have in the house as my wife was giving me "that look" every time she fell over one.
Well i had every good intention for a sale, but then this Nagasawa came up as a part exchange. Its been newly restored back at Nagasawas workshop so is pristine in its Titanium Rainbow sparkle finish.

What can i say i am a sucker for sparkles.

It came with a Hatta Swan Titanium headset, so i was sensing a theme here.

  • The eagle eyed amongst you might notice its fully fitted for brakes, So this will certainly not be going down the NJS everything route.

    So current plans are this.
From seeing Fahrgestell`s project I was very much inspired by this https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/247626/ and the nagasawa that influenced him.

Keeping with the Ti theme where i can within reason
    Carbon wheelset
Modern brakes although i have no idea which set yet (including levers).
Sticking with a quill stem but no idea what bars to pursue yet.
And seat? maybe something slimmer and more modern.

  • That's beautiful!
Maybe these hubs for extra sparkle points

  • Or the carbon version!

  • Would certainly love the carbon and black versions. But hard to find them these days, especially without crazy Fixie Tax added. Not that really anything on this bike is done with common sense playing any part :)

  • Wow that's stunning.

A Nagasawa road build is my dream bike. This is one of the nicest track frames I've seen.

  • Paint looks awesome. Can't wait to see the build.

You planning single speed or fixed with dual brakes?

  • For a seatpost i will go with something i had already (Selcof Titanio) but thinking of the theme, it should fit very well. (will decide to remove the logos on it after its complete)

  • As for single speed or Fixed, i am undecided yet. But I am inclined to go SS as will certainly use modern brakes all round.

  • re: the stem you may go for cinelli grammo or 3ttt pro titanium. both pricey though.

  • If I ever go back to a steel frame with threaded fork and quill stem, I'll seriously consider the factory 5 oversized quill stem. removable faceplate without being butt ugly.

  • This is so nice. Fixed with two brakes and drop bar levers.

  • I did think about the Factory 5 one at the start, (also close friends) But i might have won something off the Bay that may fit the theme better. Stay tuned.

  • So much... [sweating quite heavily] so much beautiful sparkle.

Get those sparkle hubs or I'll be forced to put you on my ignore list.

  • will look around for the hubs, thinking of lacing them to 30mm Carbon rims?

Meanwhile i got the cranks sorted, they even came Ti coloured :)

  • This is going to be so nice! What levers are you thinking?

  • That i dont know, completely lost for that...
I looked at TRP levers but that shape is weird
Then there is Sram S900 but if there was only a way to remove that branding..

Anyone any thoughts on levers for this?

  • They always look great when you see them off the bike.. but somehow i always think they look "Awkward" Hanging off the front of the bars. I always prefer a much flatter hood to bar transition.
Maybe on other bars they work better?

  • I always like the look of campy record singlespeed levers

Or maybe s900 and would acetone remove branding?

  • You might be able to get the branding off the sram brakes with some acetone?

  • Tasty frame ... I need this in a proper size!

  • Shimano BL-7402 are a nice shape, say Dura-ace on it and are sprung

  • Pretty sure they're lasered

  • Also - Japan
