this is really interesting to see this transformation. I have one of these from about the same time that I simply have never really ridden. its done about 10 miles maximum in its life and in just starting to take an interest into actually using it and changing bits over as its quite a comfy bike.

Final question about the mudguards: did you had to "massage" them into shape or did they fit perfectly right off the bat?
(I'm very appreciative of that fenderline) -

Front was ok, just needed the bolt to hold it in place, the rear needed me to cut some sections out to clear the stays.

Nothing need doing, it's exactly the same as mine;

And now for the appropriate thread, as not to sway discussion in a different one.
Need some 650b goodness for myself.

Has the stack and reach of the bars changed? Loos to be longer and lower in the current (grey background) config?

• #1186
I have less sweepy bars yes, swapped to some without any rise but still sweepy.

New brakes this week, a real mix - Shimano T615 levers, LX 675 brakes and XT RT86 rotors. Will take pictures at some point.

Have you added a decaleur? The bag looks better in the new photo. Or maybe it’s just stuffed full.

I'm planning on building a Pelago Stavanger frame set up much like this. -

You know, I'm gonna convert my Elephants to exactly your set-up.
Dude it just awesome, I love the very fact that you would have NEVER thought about this four years ago!
If you want something a little faster and slicker, the Marathon Supreme is in 650b at 42mm, at 470g it's not bad.
