Just realised it is now nearly 10 years since I had to go to my then local DVLA office and ask what I had to do to license a car when the seller had neglected to send in the old V5, for three months.
I recently phoned DVLA in Swansea, and was pleasantly surprised that a replacement for a mislaid 'license' could be arranged without completing a paper form or delay.
