Foot forwards creates a buffer, see how far Trump is leaning forwards. If he didn't have such booty, he'd need Michael Jackson stage shoes to stop hit gut tipping him over.
Personally I'd make a point of looking round for the cameras and turning into a "forehand" shake, as in this famous image by Storm:
