You'd get a bargain even here in Sweden for that money, and there's plenty more of them here. Why not ask him how much he wants? If he's keen on selling it to a good buyer and gets an easy sale he might very well offer it for cheap. I'd never sell my merc to someone offering peanuts for it out of the blue, but I'd be happy to let it go for a very good price to someone I know will look after it.
