Taking a walk this evening and found a volvo 850 t5-r, yellow and manual (saloon) parked. Took a chance and knocked the house door. Turns out the guy has owned it for 20 years and it is stock, possibly for sale, full service history.... Now there were only ever 28 manual sedans imported into aus so this is a rare beast. Thinking offering $3500 aud for it. Silly or rude? Paint is faded beyond repair but otherwise straight and no damage.
Condition is king but you'd not get a beaten, rusty example for that money in the UK, these were rare cars - now they're even rarer. The cars that are going to be worth the most are the stock, manual ones, shame about the paint but that's 20 years of Australian UV - would it cut back?
