I've noticed that. It's difficult to describe it as anything other than pathetic. Still, if you knew you were going to meet him, at least it would give you a reason to use one of those strange executive toy grip strengthener things so you could try to break the bones in his hand.

Handshake tactics like that are the middle management equivalent of using tips from a pickup artist. Excruciating and ultimately a sign that you're really quite insecure about your place in the world.
