Glad to hear it!
Actually I bought this yesterday:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cassette-Campagnolo-8S-for-Campagnolo-freehub-body-9Sp-13-23-/332110869951?_trksid=p2141725.m3662.l6403
but I was starting to wonder if it was a good idea. Thanks for your answer, I'm feeling a bit more confident now :)
Hi there,
I recently bought a pair of nos mexico 68 rims laced on what was described in the ad as titanium record hubs.
After seeing the pictures, I thought they were 9 speed so I didn't bother to ask the seller but when I got them I found out that they had the damn super rare 8 speed record titanium hubs, which has a unique freehub body.
I've read on bradford bike that it was possible to fit some 9 speed cogs after notching them a bit. Has anyone tried that before? Does it seem like a good idea or should I try to replace the freehub? Anybody knows a compatible one?
I know it's a lot of questions, and of course I could buy a campy titanium cassette but the cheapest I found on ebay is 150 euros, which is three times the price I paid for the wheels...
