I don't buy that. Any decent amateur teams will be racing in Belgium etc over the course of a season which can't be any cheaper.

Up to their sponsors to step up if they want the publicity.

The article says that racing in Belgium and France is much cheaper than the IOM.

I'm sure racing in London is more expensive than racing in Yorkshire. Maybe they shouldn't race there either.

Seems right to me that IoM should get a nat champs in light of its contribution to cycling in the last few years.

Maybe a bit niche but did anyone catch the end of the Tour of Valencia yesterday? I found it delightful watching Nacer throw a hissy fit after getting beaten on the line by Coquard. Bouhanni is such good value, especially when he loses.

Watched the previous stage. Not competition for Quintana, but boy did he look good.
