Anyone been to Nemaaste Kitchen on Parkway? I've walked past it for years, but I fancy a curry tonight and am wondering if it worth braving the elements for.

It's had some good reviews, and it's been there for ages. -

Alchemilla or Crabshakk on Argyle Street. Ox and Finch on Sauchiehall Street. Cail Bruich for something fancy on Great Western Road. Paesano for pizza on Miller Street, Mother India Cafe on Argyle Street for curry.

Cheers, got a week there with work so will hopefully manage to fit a few of these in.

A bit late but I went there a couple of times soon after it opened and it was good - a bit more refined than classic curry house but not too pricey. Don't live in the area any more but glad it's still going

Crabshakk is ace.
Didn't like Ox and Finch at all. Lebowski's is good for nice pub grub. -

Can anyone recommend a pub in Soho that's not too noisy/tiny and could accommodate fairly large group for midweek bday drinks?

The Sam smith on kingley street?

blue posts on berwick street.
the menu consists of 'dry roasted' or 'ready salted'.

^thats a better shout than mine
-
• #565
That is a good shout. Thanks both

They're both good. Upstairs at The Red Lion (the Sam Smith's one) has proved a useful port in several storms over the years.
-

Sam Smiths are weird though. They are like the Lidl of pubs.
-
• #568
i prefer to think of them as more like the M&S of pubs.
that own brand 'cola' is fucking rank tho.
There's also plenty of hidden gems norf of oxford street. the green man in fitzrovia does ace cider. do you prefer meeja knobs or PR bunnies?

Lovely pint of Director's in the Blue Posts, if proper beer is your thing.

the green man
good pub, was my work local couple of years ago. Love sam smith equally.

Where's good for tapas in central London? Something informal for a late dinner on Friday night. We often do Salt Yard, so that kind of thing, but different.

Drakes Tabanco is good, it's just off Charlotte Street.

I'll have a look, thanks

I've eaten here a few times, and we've had takeaway a couple of times from them as well. The grill dishes are particularly good, I really like the Peshawari Lamb Chops, and the Kashmiri Style Lamb Shank is great if you want something with more sauce, the sesame baby aubergine is an excellent side dish too.

Barrafina, surely?!
Kanada-ya is good, really good. Worth the wait in the queue..
