You'll need a cable hanger too. The only potential problem I can see with these is whether the clamps will fit the diameter of your forks.

Do your forks have round blades?
They're not designed with braking in mind, so you might consider buying road forks.

Good point, I doubt they would be too small so I was thinking I'd shim them if they're too wide. would this work?

Yeah they have round blades but feel plenty strong enough, haven't encountered any problems so far and I haven't ever had problems running a brake on track forks in the past.

Any reason I couldn't bolt these onto an un-drilled track fork and set up a cantilever front brake? I'm running a clamp on Dia Compe caliper brake at the moment but surely this could be a more elegant solution?
