Will post course map here soon!
-
• #53
There will be ample time for course familiarisation plus black and green runs.
-
• #54
Will there be opportunity for non-racers to ride a lap on the day? Or are there insurance/organisational barriers?
-
• #55
Between 10-12 there will be an opportunity for participants to get to know the course. This is only open to those who have entered either main race or the Anything Goes category.
Racers will also get a lap warm-up before their race.
Afterwards all will be welcome to try the course. There will be organisers breaking down and cleaning up so speed will need to be kept to a minimum.
Anyone riding the course will need to sign a disclaimer.
If you want to thrash, spend the cash!
£20 for main races //// £10 for Anything Goes

Hello, does the fact that Yard Sale Pizza are sponsoring mean there will be pizza to purchase on the day?!
Not sure if I'll have a cross bike sorted in time, but looks like it would be a good course to spectate at for sure. And especially if there is pizza.
-
• #57
We can't get the pizza out to the course in optimum condition. Yard Sale will be providing free pizza as prizes to those taking part. Now that's an incentive.
-
• #58
As well as the main podium prizes, there will also be spot prizes on the day for a variety of things from best dressed to most ridiculous bike to complete the course and more.

Equal prizes are on offer at all #nltcbmbc events. We're strong advocates of equal opportunities racing and are offering awesome prizes at #ThunderCross including £500 cash for our winners as well as a host of spot prizes from our awesome sponsors.

I don't think i'm fit enough for even that any more :D
-
• #64
Hmmmmm, been considering it further and I'm very tempted. Already thought of costume ideas.....
-
• #65
Won't your mad skills make up for any deficit in fitness?
-
• #66
The madder the better. You can win a prize for that too. Do it!
-
• #67
Are you racing Andy?
-
• #68
Thanks for the encouragement :D
-
• #69
Sadly not. I've got childcare duties until early afternoon, so won't be able to get to Swanley on time to race. I'm hoping to ride over and spectate though.

My 11YO will be there too.

We will be handing out cards at Euro SSCX champs this weekend; if you want questions answered/fears allayed come see me.

Thanks John, but I've two aged 7 and 4 so they are a bit young to be left for an hour whilst I race. We don't have a car either, so getting them there might be a challenge.
-
• #73
Fair enough. Would have offered my daughters child watching services.
:) -
• #74
Not my kind of thing but there is a Morelys Chicken 5KMs from the venue.
