  • Ha! You shoulda bought it ;)

  • V.Nice

    What bars are those?

  • Thanks. They're Fizik Cyrano R3 Snake.

  • god I love that caad12 disc colourway. might have to be the next upgrade from my caad10 disc (although rear caliper will need to be changed)
edit: just seen the fork isn't bolt thru :'(

  • Apologies if this has been covered but is it possible to raw alu finish my CAAD? If so what's the process/ who best to do it?

  • You've a few options really, Automotive paint stripper and patience if you want to DIY it or you could take it somewhere like Armourtex who will heat strip the paint off, other places who do acid dipping or media blasting are also options

I had a frame media blasted by a place back home, it depends what type of "raw" finish you want and whether you want a clear coat over the top or not to protect it.

  • There's some good stuff in here.

  • ---->HHSRB?

  • I posted it in Porn at the time

  • edit: just seen the fork isn't bolt thru :'(

And be prepared for flexing of the QR.. my front rotor rubs the moment i'm out of the saddle. I'm going to try the DT Swiss faux bolt thru axle and see if that's any better. Disclaimer: 6ft 4" and im 95KG so that may be a factor.

With that all said, buy one its honestly one of the best bikes I've owned and dare i say the cheapest! Bargainz.

  • I don't know what size to be looking at.
Usually a 56 I should think but I'm 6"1 and I like an aggressive fit with a low front end. Currently riding a 54cm bmc with a mile of seatpost but a slammed 125mm stem and I like it.
Anyone got a 56cm caad12? How tall are you?

  • Does anyone here own a CAAD10 (or 12 to be honest) and a Supersix?

    What was your justification?

    Asking for a friend.

  • I'm 5'10 ish, and ride 54 with slammed stem and a fair bit of seatpost. But check out stack + reach of your BMC. I can give you the measurements of my CAAD if you like

and @yeahdext try and old shimano MTB skewer first. Loads cheaper than the DT Swiss ones and fixed my flex fine

  • I'm on a 58cm @ 6ft 4, from memory 20cm of post and 130 -17 deg stem.

    I believe @Dammit has a 56cm frame..

  • Haha so since I'm about in the middle of the two of you, I think a 56 is my safe bet. Need to see if I can find an Evans with one in stock to swing a leg over. Then I'll go to sigma and buy the frameset ha

  • I am ~85kg and 6ft3 and have the same problem with both rotors on my caad10 disc. rear was alleviated with an old shimano QR (as suggested by non other than @edscoble). I have purchased the dt swiss skewers, they will be going on my new wheelset :-)

  • I have a 12 disc and a supersix black

i bought the supersix some time ago and then wanted a disc braked bike with similar geometry i could commute / ride in winter so caad12

  • Does anyone here own a CAAD10 (or 12 to be honest) and a Supersix?

    What was your justification?

    Asking for a friend.

I do indeed have a CAAD10 and a Black Inc Supersix. CAAD10 was my only road bike when a too good to miss deal came up on the Supersix frameset. It seemed a real shame to get rid of the CAAD frame so built it up with cheaper components. It's my race/winter/turbo bike and the supersix is the lightweight all day ride / hill climbing machine.

  • I'm 6'1 and ride a 56, was fine, although for ME. Too small for all day tings

  • I'm 5.8" and ride a 54. Go figure.

Thought about slamming it but just can't be bothered

  • im 181 with 87 inseam and the 56 fits me spot on

  • Nice one. Looks good proportionally

  • Perfect. Similar scenario here right now. Do you notice much difference between them, ride-wise?

  • Same here. 1,82 and a 56 with 120 stem.
