Do you have good allen keys and clean the bolts out before attempting removal?
I made it in this morning and the cranks stayed on although dropped the chain again so gave the chaintug another turn and same with the QR skewer so it's a bit tighter. Might need to clean up/rough up the track end surfaces to stop it sliding so easily or swap the skewer for something stronger like 'all metal' Shimano.

As a non Stages owner you probably won't be shifing it that often but it's undoing that's the issue!
