  • Popped into @rhb 's LBS on the way home

Raided the bottom corner shelf of discounted drinks and managed to grab a Burning Sky Arise, Saison Printemps and an Easy IPA, a bit old but both gone now without complaint as well. Noticed a single bottle of Stille Nacht there too for a bargin price, not had it for at least a year or two now, very much looking forward to that.

From the full price stuff grabbed a Buxton Trolltunga and their new single barrel Rain Shadow (12.2%) as well as a Burning Sky Gaston.

Should get me through the next 10 days or so and any last minute packing etc.

  • At Beavertown drinking hazelnut and cocoa Heavy Water. Mmmmm.

  • Is it too early for the Rain Shadow....

  • It's never too early. Glad you enjoyed your trip to the epicurean.

  • Three different Heavy Water varieties on at beavertown today :-)

  • Went for Gaston and Trolltunga. Saving the strong ones for later in the week (or tomorrow...)

  • Big Dipper with my dinner. Hic.

  • Went for all the meat at Duke's and now I'm still too full to eat breakfast

  • just traded an arm and a leg for a Brewdog Tokyo. 16.5% beer, wow.

  • Ohh

  • Buxton Wyoming Sheep Ranch .... dipa ..... wow ..... !

  • As a rule, Buxton anything, wow!

  • Was in Denmark towards the end of last month - the Mikeller bars there really are something special.

Probably nailed 24 different beers over the weekend. They had a beer Riesling which was rly interesting, their Xmas IPA was my fave

  • Gipsy Hill's Hepcat has massively improved, was bloody banging on Friday night

  • Really rate Hepcat but haven't had it in a few months. Where did you get it?

Off to Duke's tonight, also been eyeing up all the meats. But, £30....

  • Had that in November, was ace. Has it improved?

Had my first Rauch Bier last week. Pint of Old Hands. Was like a dark pint of Frazzles.

  • It's improved since I last had it which was a very long time ago when it first came out. I think Gipsy Hill have improved overall really since then.

I had it in The Kings Arms in Waterloo

  • Same pub as me, was racking my brains where it was. They have a Thai restaurant out back?

Had the Dorset Brewing 'Chockwork Orange' in there too.

  • yes ... agreed - even if i am from Matlock ... !

  • Yeah that's the one

The monthly Imperial Beer Club box I get has a cracking selection this month

  • Isn't it 18%? Or is that Tokyo*? I've deffo had an 18% Tokyo.

  • Must... fight... temptation...

  • I carried a bunch of random bottles back from Amsterdam (maybe a dozen from a local supermarket - Leffe, Jopen, 7-something). Had an awesome Jopen + De Hael collab stout while in Arendnest.

  • You should never fight what the heart desires

  • Awesome, that's just around the corner from my (relatively) new office.
