That screams "I am DEFINITELY smuggling hash in this pannier."

Sadly it was NOS when I acquired it(and only used on one ride) so yet to be used for its intended purpose!
Now failing to find a pic of a beardy desert tourer who looks like he's carrying a few bars. Bikepackers work hard to cultivate that look...
Yet another trade that the rise of skunk has destroyed. -

How are people attatching flappys for their mudguards?
Bovril? super glue? good faith? hammer and nail?

Rivets would be my first choice. Head to your nearest friendly engineer and buy them a bacon roll if you don't have access to one yourself.

Cable ties. Punch four holes in a square pattern in the flap and use them as a template to mark and drill matching holes in the guard. Then use two cable ties to hold the two bits together.

Buy a rivet gun and it usually comes with a few rivets of various sizes to get you started. It's the sort of tool that you'll find loads of uses for once you have it.

I can do it for you at work but you'd have to ride out to deepest darkest Essex.
But yeah, rivet guns are surprisingly useful. -

I bought a rivet gun exactly for that purpose when I installed the most recent iteration.
It is really solid now! -

use two rivets though I broke both of my new ones on the way home which one had one in the centre.

I second that!

They have never stocked it as a thing but they are a specialized dealer so can just get it in whenever if asked.

Greetings folks,
Does anyone know of where in Babylon-don I can find a nice metal rear mudguard reflector like the one on the lovely brown bike above? Or on the tinterweb?
Mucho gracias,
Tim
