We'd much rather talk about the free scoring Bent, 4 goals in the last 3 games.

Autocorrect. I suspect that soon people typing Kanye will have it corrected to Kante.

Let's not forget that Liverpool played a number of their early season games away rather than at home. They now have more home games in the run in than any other title contender. Fortress Anfield.
Liverpool's to loose.

we narrowly avoided a club record 4 home defeats on the bounce last night
after not having been beaten at home for almost exactly a yearconsistently inconsistent

Indeed, last night was like one of those famous European nights at Anfield.
Except Liverpool aren't competing in Europe.
-
• #133959
Aren't they still in the Europa?

Christ. We're not very good at this 'buying the league' job are we. £50m on strikers and we still get handed our arses by Brentford. FML.

Not at all. I love the match reports. Never read them of course but I love the effort that is taken.

Man City are carving through West Ham, that front line of Jesus, Sane, Sterling, and de bruyne, are putting them to the sword, so swift with the counter attacks. When do City play Chelsea again? If they keep playing like this, it'll be one to watch. Another game which could bring them back to the pack..

Decent signing if he works out how to use his electric gates.
Zac Clough also looks like a canny signing.

I see Jose got the draw he wanted against Hull.

Everton won a convincing point against a strong Stoke side and closed the gap at the top.

He plays the media like a violin.
awful game last night, one of those you wish you had the time back.
Losing Rose made it a lot harder for us to create chances, he's vital to us as that outlet down the left, and most of our attacking play in the first half went through him. Davies whilst good, isn't as attacking, and we lose our impetus when the ball is swung across to him. Though to give him credit he was pushing on more than I've seen him do before.
Felt like we'd gone back a couple of seasons, where we had lots of possession, camped out on the oppositions box and never actually made any meaningful attempts to score. Sunderland happy with the point, Defoe gave us a couple of scares with his pace, but Vorm only had a couple of saves to make all game. Ndong, and Kone looked good for Sunderland, gave them some bite.
Alli, Eriksen, Kane out of sorts, Sissoko still not done enough to be first attacking option off the bench, Janssen wasn't given any time or service, meh game, which takes on more significance with the results for Chelsea and Arsenal.
Still 2nd's not to be sniffed at...
