Hi,
I'm after EITHER a steel, preferably 80s early MTB frame and fork OR a Surly LHT F&F in 52cm for 26" wheels.
A really early Saracen MTB would fit the bill nicely. I'm picky - I'm after a lugged fork (not unicrown). I'm not fussed about the surface condition, as long as it's sound and free of dents, and comes without seized seat posts or BBs, etc, as I'd consider powder coating. I'm either going to build up an old frame into a Long Haul Trucker-esque utility / commuting / touring bike with an Alfine hub, or build a LHT into, er, a LHT (I'll be transferring the bits from my current version built around a Marin Bear Valley frame that doesn't quite fit right).
I'm 5'9; will use this with slightly swept-back bars so a longer top tube isn't a big problem, but I don't want standover of more than 80cm or so I guess. A 22" / 23" top tube would probably do it.
hope someone might have something suitable!
thanks...
