[XXXX]I don't think there's anything wrong with the theme in and of itself. It's just some of the chat around the themes/photos has gotten a bit, well - it's hard to know who/what the barbs are directed at.

Lol at the ninja edit.
I had chosen my muse and everything, and then learned she was legitimately half way round the world...
(Karen's the only woman on the Yonex Pro Stringing team, busy working at the Aussie Open, who runs a great little racket sports shop in Norwich between Grand Slams)

My bad. I was reading that article by Mitch Ben about his internal debate regarding attending the women's march, and also really wanting to see the thread light up with loads of pics of inspiration women perhaps in light of general disappointment at the misogynist in the white house. Apologies if anyone was offended.

Cool
In this era of alt facts and post truth this weeks topic , #symbolism aims to represent absolute truth in art. This from Wikipedia
"Symbolists believed that art should represent absolute truths that could only be described indirectly. Thus, they wrote in a very metaphorical and suggestive manner, endowing particular images or objects with symbolic meaning"Some examples of symbolist photographs from Alvin Langdon Coburn

Sally Yates (American Attorney General, just sacked and labelled a 'betrayer' for standing up to Trump) is my new #inspirational_woman
If only this was a few days ago. As I was in America. And I could get a photo of her without being arrested.

I'm not entirely sure what this week's theme is about, which is fair enough. Twins are a frequent symbolic motif in fiction so....
Twins.

Really tight between mi7rennie and skydancer. Well done all.
FWIW I think it was a great theme... challenging but not offensive, or unfriendly IMO. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to find the time to check the theme this week.
