Hi all, I am selling my late 90s Cougar which was to be my Summer machine but financial situation has put paid to that.
About the bike:
I do not know the year of build, or the tubeset, there are no stamps on the BB either. From trawling Retrobike I've concluded that it is most likely Dedaccai Zero Uno, going by the similar colourschemes of other Cougar framesets on there that also have had decals peel off. Obviously I'm not certain on that, the bike is very light though. The frame has a CTC TT measurement of 56cm and the seattube is 54.5 CTC. The Campagnolo Record seatpost is seized in the frame, I have not endeavoured to remove it save dousing it in WD40. Unfortunately there is also a crack below the seatclamp, which I have shown below. The paintwork isn't in the best nick as can be seen in photos. A set of Cougar decals can be had on the bay for 7 quid which I think would breath a lot of life back into the aesthetics. The bike will also need a decent going over/service.
Components are as follows:
Campagnolo Record Titanium 8 Speed Ergos (some scratches and pitting)
Campagnolo Record Titanium Rear Mech
Campagnolo Record Front Mech(braze on)
Campagnolo Record Crankset 172.5mm w/52t & 42t(not pictured) rings
Campagnolo Record BB (there is some play, I haven't investigated)
Campagnolo Record seatpost (quite a bit of pitting)
Campagnolo Record Calipers front and rear (pitting to front, rear VGC)
Campagnolo Ultra Low Drag cables throughout
Cinelli Pinocchio Stem w/ ITM Super Italia ergo drops
Mavic Aksium Race Wheelset(bearings good front and rear, rear needs a true)
Shimano 600 headset
Shimano Light Action Pedals
San Marco Ponza Seat
Schwalbe Lugano Tires(some life left)
I'll also be including a pair of dashing yellow bottlecages and a couple of tubes.
I'm asking £330£320£310£300£295£290 posted from ROI to mainland UK ONO. I think a repair on the seatclamp is achievable without being pricey. With no framebuilders around I would only have the resources near me to blob weld it and I believe the bike deserves better than that. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or if you want more photos of anything just let me know!
