Any decent prescription cycling sunnies recommendations? Don't really want to spend 300 on Oakleys. Had bodged aliexpress ones for far too long now.

Smith Optics V90 Max - anyone know if they have photochromatic option?
Or other big, frame-free glasses for TTing that have photochromic lenses?

Where's good for getting prescription sunnies online?

POC Blade, any advantage / disadvantage between the half blade and regular variant?
vs
Also, where is everyone getting their fake versions from?
-
• #606
I prefer my fake half blade to my fake regular ones. Easier to see stuff in your peripheral vision, handy when you're doing a quick shoulder check or whatever.

Ta.
Just found them on Aliexpress. $21 dollars delivered, vs £150 for the real ones. Bonkers
-
• #608
The ones I received from aliexpress were really good quality too. I agree the lower portion of the frame gets in the way a bit when shoulder checking.
-
• #609
Are you talking about the POC ones? Are they polarized? I'm tempted to grab some but there seem to be no reviews on Aliexpress which is making me hesitate
-

POCs are the best fakes I've had

Mine came with four lenses, can't remember if any are polarised, I can check later. I think its the same four lenses that come with most fauxkleys, clear, yellow, smoke (polarised?) and some kind of iridium.

Here's the four POC lenses. Clear, polarised grey, rose and mirror.

Someone I know from years ago I recently found out has now got his own handmade glasses company and is also making prescription cycling glasses.
Here's a link to his stuff:
http://rockoptika.com/shop/shop-racing-club.aspI'd be tempted if I wore glasses

Good spot - These are modelled on Oakley Half Jackets (if you're ever after a fancier replacement)
-
• #617
Black seemed to be on there when I checked just now. Thought 'sod it' and pulled the trigger anyway as had coupons through e-mail.
Fj's uniqlo half jackets look good. But I have a big head!

Half blade? Link?
-

Ebay/Alibaba? Then get your prescription lenses inserted in he States.
-
• #620
I'm told I have a big head (sometimes), but they might be worth a try-on in-store if you get a chance.
-
• #621
Could be sh*t; could be ok. For 12 bucks (with e-mail coupons), I thought why not.

Nice one, yeah looks like black with black lense is greyed out. Not to worry, I had my own fuck it moment and ordered some dark blue ones from dhgate (number 02 here: http://www.dhgate.com/product/2016-do-half-blade-bicycle-sunglasses-polarized/387610434.html )
Hopefully they are genuine fakes like aliexpress, and not fake fakes.

Got a pair of bbb polarised glasses for -£30, not designed for riding per se but fine on the bike. £30 for polarised lenses is not to be sniffed at. Impressed

Lost my cheap Chinese prescription rayban sunglasses, where's the best uk place to get rayban frames and then prescription tinted lenses put in them?
My lovely soho opticians are nice but pricey...
